For over 57 years, the Kiwanis Club of Manotick has helped strengthen our community. While our focus is on youth, we support many non-profit initiatives to help provide a safe yet fertile environment for all ages.  We are part of Kiwanis International, a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.

Tuesday, November 21st Regular Meeting: The speaker for this meeting will be Katrina Tachuk who will talk on Drug Education.   The meal will be a Greek dinner: Greek salad, chicken & pork Souvlaki with Tzatziki sauce, Moussaka with eggplantMeet and greet at 6 pm and dinner at 6:30 pm.  Meeting will be at the Royal Canadian Legion, Br#314 (Manotick), 5550 Ann Street, Manotick, Ontario.

 
Tuesday, December 5th Regular Meeting The Glee Club Singers of the KC of Sage will entertain us with a melody of songs.   Dinner will be Slice roast beef au jus, garlic mashed potatoes, veggiesMeet and greet at 6 pm and dinner at 6:30 pm.  Meeting will be at the Royal Canadian Legion, Br#314 (Manotick), 5550 Ann Street, Manotick, Ontario.
 
Tuesday, December 19th Christmas Meeting: *Partners Night*  Rev. Elaine Beattie will talk about the Essence of Christmas, Brian Cromie and Claudette Périard will regale us with short stories, and Sylvia McDonald will lead us all in a festive music singalong.   The meal will be a Turkey dinner with all the fix'ins. Meet and greet at 6 pm and dinner at 6:30 pm.  Meeting will be at the Royal Canadian Legion, Br#314 (Manotick), 5550 Ann Street, Manotick, Ontario.

Board of Directors' Meeting: at Hyfield Place on Tuesday, November 14th from 7:00 - 9:00 pm.  All members welcome to attend.

KC of Manotick Charter Night: Sat. Nov. 18th at Stonebridge Golf Club. All members and guests welcome. Tickets will be available commencing our October 24th, contact Deborah Czuba at  deborah.czuba@bell.net  or 613-692-1124 to make reservations.  Ticket costs are $65 pp.

Seniors' Bingo at Hyfield Place : will be held on Monday, November 20th at 6:45 pmVolunteers needed, so please contact Debbie Mulvihill if you can help out.

Aktion Club Meeting: The next meeting of the Aktion Club to be hosted by our club is Nov. 28th at 6 pm at the Montgomery Legion, 2nd floor in downtown Ottawa.  We need  4-5 volunteers to serve and claan up.  Please let Glenn Pushman know if you can help.

Call for an Interclub at the KC of Pembroke:       Wed. Nov. 29, 2017, Greg Newton will be presenting a PowerPoint on Photography in the Ottawa area from 1945 to present. We need a minimum of 2 other members hopefully 3 to form an Interclub. They meet at 12 noon in the Kiwanis Field House so it means leaving at 9:30 am in order to get set up. Please let Greg Newton know if you can make that date.

Ottawa West Kiwanis - Fashion Show: Tuesday, November 28, 2017, 6:00—9:00pm at Shepherd’s Train Yards (145 Trainyards Drive, Unit 4, Ottawa K1G 3X8).  Proceeds of ticket sales and 10% of sales of  all Shepherd’s merchandise purchased during the event will be donated to OrKidstra.

Enjoy a unique “girls night out” in support of  giving youth an opportunity to find their voice and realize their potential by making music together.  Shop the night away and enjoy an exclusive fashion show featuring members of Kiwanis Ottawa West.

Call for an Interclub... Ottawa Kiwanis - 100th Anniversary Luncheon:  will take place on December 15th, 12:00 - 1:45 p.m. at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier, 1 Rideau Street, in the Laurier Room. Cost is $43.00 for lunch and discount parking is $13.00 when purchased at our registration table. Payment is by cash, cheque or credit card.   I would really like to have 4 or more members attend this with me as an interclub to help the KC of Ottawa celebrate this special milestone in their history.   Please let Glenn Pushman know if you plan to attend.
