Food Cupboard Drive
For the 4th year, our Kiwanis Club and 5 Key Clubs have partnered with the Barrhaven Metro on Strandherd and the Brierley’s Independent YIG on River Road to raise funds and collect groceries for local Food Cupboards. Our Key Club volunteers will greet customers, pre-fil grocery bags for purchase and help customers bag their own groceries while promoting donations to the Food Cupboard. In each of the last 2 years, our Key Clubbers have raised over $15,000 in cash and grocery donations. But this event can’t happen without a Kiwanis volunteer at each shift to supervise our student volunteers. We are ask you to help us out with a 2-hour shift during the following times and locations.
Barrhaven Metro (Strandherd and Woodroffe)
Oct 2-4 (Friday 6-9 pm, Sat/Sun 10 am to 4 pm)
Oct 9-11 (Friday 6-9 pm, Sat/Sun 10 am to 4 pm)
Brierleys Independent YIG in Riverside South (Earl Armstrong and River Rd.)
